Focus on them: They want to hear that this job is exactly what you’ve been thinking about as a next step in your career.

Of course, the follow-up question they’ll ask is: How so?

Be prepared to answer that with your rationale for how this job meets your professional needs and how you can contribute at your highest potential while in this role. People want to feel like their work means something. There is nothing wrong with sharing that feeling in a thoughtful way.

This can be a deal-breaker question.

Obviously, if you say you hate your current boss or company, the interviewer will naturally believe you will hate them eventually. And, if you say, your current compensation or role is below your standards, they will again assume the worst.

Although these may be legitimate reasons to leave a job, there must be other reasons, too.

Do you see a pattern here? Highlight a reason that the hiring manager cannot be concerned about.

Highlight a reason that the hiring manager cannot be concerned about.

Of course, if you have an issue that is very important to you that could be a deal-breaker (like company culture), you can mention it. Just be prepared for them to take one extreme or the other. For example, maybe you only want to work for companies that buy from vendors in your home country. The hiring manager will let you know if their company does this. And if they don’t, I guess the interview is over.

This is a tough one. Typically, you should not quit a job until you have accepted another job.

However, life doesn’t always allow that to happen. Did you quit because you couldn’t spend enough time looking for your next job? Perhaps the company you worked for was close to shutting down and you didn’t want to waste valuable time waiting for the last day of operation.

Certainly, there are common reasons that are understood as necessity:

The key to answering this question is to keep it short. Don’t feel the need to expand your answer to include a lot of details.

keep it short.

This is another danger zone. This is not the time for defending yourself with a long story about you being the victim.

If you made a mistake, you are going to have to try to minimize the severity of the situation.

An argument with a boss could be described as a difference in opinion. Not following orders because your moral compass told you not to could be described as “taking the high road.”

Denim's New Seen

The plan is to excite the customer with frequent drops, and a flow of fresh merchandise.

By Samantha Conti onJuly 10, 2018

LONDON — Riccardo Tisci is ripping up the rule book ahead of his upcoming runway show for Burberry in September, with plans torelease a limited-edition capsule collection as part of his hotly anticipated runway debut, WWD has learned. The capsule will be delivered in a series of instant drops that are set to begin from September, although it’s unclear whether the merchandise will start landing before — or after — Burberry’s London Fashion Week show, which is set for 5 p.m. on Sept. 17.This is the second Burberry capsule collection to come to light since Friday, whenTisci announced on Instagram he was working on a collaboration with Vivienne Westwood that will drop in December. It is understood that a bigger strategy is taking shape at Burberry, with a steady rhythm of drops planned throughout the year to keep product fresh, and the conversation with the consumer lively. The aim is to keep the delivery cycle fluid and creatively led and speak to the consumer via product, communications and experiences. The moves were confirmed by Burberry, although the company did not provide details. The delivery plan is an evolution of Burberry’s former see-now-buy-now strategy and fulfills chief executive officer Marco Gobbetti’s promise earlier this year of upping the number of drops throughout the season. In May, following the year-end results presentation, Gobbetti said the company would be doing frequent drops throughout the year instead of putting its entire runway product on sale immediately after the show, a strategy that former president and chief creative officer Christopher Bailey had pioneered.“Our go-to-market strategy is about more frequent, smaller deliveries, and it’s a strategy that will continue for now. If we deliver the full collection right away, you come to the store, see the whole collection and then you don’t really have a reason to come again, unless we can deliver something new. We just need to keep the customer’s attention and keep them engaged with us,” Gobbetti said.Going forward, it is understood that Burberry will have an almost monthly cadence of new deliveries of capsules, collaborations, limited-edition product and seasonal collections across its categories. It’s shaping up to be a big week for Burberry, with a first-quarter trading update on Wednesday and the annual general meeting the following day, with a new chairman, Gerry Murphy, at the helm of the company.

Joshua E. Klosowski
U.S. District Judge Thomas L. Ludington on Thursday, June 13, sentenced Joshua E. Klosowski to 262 months, or 21.83 years, in prison on a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin. Klosowski pleaded guilty to the charge in March, with the prosecution agreeing to dismiss 11 related charges.
The lengthy sentence is based on Klosowski's previous criminal history, which includes four drug convictions. A Bay County judge on Feb. 22, 2010, sentenced him to one year to 19 months in state prison on a charge of delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance more than 50 grams. The Michigan Department of Corrections paroled him on July 20, 2010.
By Klosowski's own account, he resumed trafficking in narcotics immediately after being paroled. He would travel to Detroit, Lansing and Saginaw, buy heroin, then sell the illicit opiod in Bay County, court records show.
The defendant estimated he trafficked in about 1 kilogram of heroin between his release from prison and his arrest.
While on parole, Klosowski sold heroin nine times to three different informants during controlled buys, court records show. On at least two occasions, he sold heroin within 1,000 feet of a Bay City school, prosecutors allege.
Authorities arrested Klosowski on May 7, 2012, after he bought heroin for himself and a customer in Saginaw. At the time, Klosowski was about to inject himself with the drug while behind the wheel of a vehicle that also contained his 10-month old son.
Klosowski told investigators the presence of his son tended to deflect suspicion from him while he was engaged in drug trafficking and use, court records show.
At his sentencing, Klosowski told Ludington his addiction led him to keep committing drug-related crimes. Ludington replied that despite his numerous convictions, he had not completed any court-ordered drug treatment programs.
Ludington told Klosowski to spend his time in prison preparing himself for the life he'll have after his eventual release.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Mid-Michigan Safe Streets Task Force, based in the FBI field office in Bay City.
The day they arrested Klosowski, investigators also arrested his Saginaw supplier, Van G. Williams Jr. Williams in March pleaded guilty to the same conspiracy to distribute count as Klosowski, in exchange for the prosecution's dismissal of two related charges.
Court records indicate Williams had $600 in cash on him at the time of his arrest, which Klosowski had given him for 4 grams in heroin.
Ludington is to sentence Williams at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11.
